Singularity Defense Corp is building counter-weapon systems — principally low-cost, mass-producible air defense and interceptors — designed to defeat drones and cheap, mass-produced munitions that now account for the majority of battlefield casualties. Founded by engineers from SpaceX, Tesla, and Anduril alongside operators who have deployed air defenses in combat, the company is led by CEO Jack Oswald and COO Shail Giroux. Its core thesis is that modern warfare has inverted the air-defense cost curve, and that winning requires delivering capability at the speed, scale, and price point of the threat itself — an approach Singularity pursues by building major subsystems in-house and sourcing only components already produced at commercial volume.

Singularity frames its mission around measuring success in lives saved, drawing an explicit parallel to the WWII-era mobilization that produced air defenses at unprecedented scale. The team maintains a near-constant presence in Ukraine to stay close to frontline threat evolution, and emphasizes an aggressive design-test cadence and production-first culture as its primary competitive moat. It is actively scaling engineering and manufacturing headcount across GNC, propulsion, embedded software, and build operations.
