Matias Zorrilla

Matias is an investor based out of Harpoon's San Diego office, where he sources, diligences, and supports founders, focusing primarily on deep tech and climate tech. Matias has co-led Harpoon’s investment in Glyphic Biotechnologies, as well as 3 stealth companies in the telehealth, space, and mining sectors. 

Prior to joining Harpoon, Matias worked in investment banking at Bank of America, where he advised high-growth, private companies through growth equity raises, initial public offerings, and M&A transactions. This included companies like Steinway Musical Instruments, Solugen, Indigo Ag, and Eat Just.

Matias began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for the issuance of structured debt products. 

In his free time, Matias enjoys playing & watching soccer, traveling to new cities, and spending time with friends.
